Application of Ferrosilicon /ferro silicon powder
1. Ferrosilicon is often used as the deoxidizer in steelmaking, while at the same time may be used to release heat in the SiO2 evolution.
In the deoxidization, it can raise the temperature and reduce the energy consumption.
2. Ferrosilicon, which is often used as the metallic additive, may be used in the producing of low alloy steel, structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat-resistant steel and electrical silicon steel, monocrystaline silicon and non-ferrous alloys.
3. Ferro silicon is used widely in steel and foundry industry.
An indispensable deoxidizer, it will increase the rigidity and flexibility greatly. The powder can be used as subsidiary materials in electric welding.
4. In the iron casting,it is used as ball mile agent and alloying agent especially in the nodular iron casting.
Adding ferrosilicon to cast iron ,it can prevent the formation of carbide and promote the precipitation of graphite and the nodulizing.then the mechanical capacity can be the same of steel's.
5. High-silicon ferrosilicon can be used for the production of the low-carbon reductant in ferro alloy industry.
6. In addition ,ferro silicon powder can be used as a suspended phase in the mineral processing industry and coatings for welding electrodes in the electrode manufactruing.
